Chesson Hadley Wins Web.com Tour Finale
Chesson Hadley carded a 1-under, 69 Sunday at the
Web.com Tour Championship to claim the championship and his 2014 PGA Tour card.
The Tour rookie and former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket ended the weekend posting a final score of 10-under. Holding off late charges from Brad Fritsch and Scott Gardiner to claim the victory, the trophy, the winner’s check of $180,000 and of course most importantly -- His PGA Tour card.
“This is incredible. I have no idea what happened,” said Hadley after his round. “It was blackout golf out there today and I was just trying not to puke on myself on the way in, even though I tried to.”
It was no picnic for Hadley. Coming in on the back nine, he carded just two birdies to four bogeys. Though in the end, it was good enough for the win and the fruits that come along with it.

Web.com Tour Players want Change in Finals
While many Web.com Tour players are in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. this weekend playing for their PGA Tour lives. Many players are speaking out on a wanted change to the Tour Championship and Web.com Tour finale. In how points, cards and PGA Tour priority are calculated.
This year, 50 PGA Tour cards will be awarded, with half of them already having been secured by the top 25 money winners from the Web.com Tour’s regular season money list.
The other 25 cards come off the money list from the Web.com Tour Finals, which replaced Q-School this year as the PGA Tour’s system for doling out cards.

Woods named PGA Tour Player of the Year; Spieth named Rookie of the Year

The PGA TOUR announced Friday Tiger Woods as PGA TOUR Player of the Year and Jordan Spieth as PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year, as voted on by the TOUR’s membership for the 2013 season.
PGA TOUR members who played in at least 12 official money events in 2013 were eligible to vote following the conclusion of the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. The balloting process ended on Sept. 26.
“On behalf of the PGA TOUR, my congratulations to Tiger and Jordan for their impressive performances in 2013,” said PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem. “Tiger’s five wins came against some of the strongest fields in golf including THE PLAYERS and two World Golf Championships while Jordan’s rookie season was historic in terms of his accomplishments for a player just 20 years old. The member vote reflects the respect their peers have for both players.”
