Ian Poulter has withdrawn from the Honda Classic with an illness.
Poulter actually tweeted this very thing Thursday morning before the official word came out.
“Sorry guys never been so disappointed in pulling out of a tournament.” Poulter said via his twitter account.
“Never felt so ruff, Hope 1st reserve plays well in a great group today.”
Poulter's withdrawal makes room for the first alternate, Miguel Angel Carballo. Who is now thrown into the marquee pairing of Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods.
Carballo, a native of Argentina is a rookie on the PGA Tour this season. His best finish so far in 2012 is a tie for 29th.
